Cloistered Life and the Wyoming Carmelites

I want to speak about Cloistered Life and the Wyoming Carmelites. I saw this old article from Cloistered Life about our Carmel and wanted to highlight it. You can see their article about the Wyoming Carmelites here. I love this website where they specifically highlight cloistered communities. Of course, when you first click on their website it is highlighting women’s communities. When most people think of contemplatives they think of women. However, if you click on Cloistered Men’s Communities it lists many beautiful monasteries of men throughout the world. What beautiful and peaceful monasteries are here. Can you believe that so many monasteries throughout America are filled with men who search for union with God in solitude?

Now if you scroll down and click on the Carmelite Monks of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary article you find us. The image they are using is of our prior Fr. Daniel Mary praying in our old monastery in Clark, Wyoming. You can see our old cloister wall and gate. If you click on the link it brings you to the full article about us. The design of the page immediately gives you peace. However, some of the information is old at this stage like the name of the Vocations Director! We are also now in Meeteetse rather than Powell since we moved into our final monastery a few years back.

My favorite thing that it speaks about is the Marian life of our charism. We are truly dedicated to the Marian charism of Carmel. Feel free to check out this old article from Cloistered Life on the Wyoming Carmelites. God bless!
